Accusations have been made towards a woman in Columbus, Mississippi, for fatally shooting her husband during a Facebook Live stream.
The shooting occurred at Greentree Apartments around 7:30 on Saturday morning, March 25.
Kadejah Brown and her husband, Jeremy Brown, were reportedly engaged in a night-long argument. Sheriff Eddie Hawkins of Lowndes County mentioned that Jeremy Brown was attempting to leave the apartment to diffuse the situation, but unfortunately got shot.
He passed away at home.
The entire incident unfolded live on Facebook.
During the livestream, children present in the apartment were heard crying and pleading, “please, daddy, please.”
Deputies arrived at the scene within minutes and were able to retrieve a handgun and a shell casing.
The 28-year-old Kadejah Brown has been charged with Murder.
She is currently in custody at Lowndes County jail.
Brown’s bond is yet to be determined.
“There was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim. This was a tragic and senseless murder, and our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family. Fortunately, Brown is in custody, and we look forward to the criminal justice system holding her accountable,” stated Sheriff Eddie Hawkins.
